HUD Louisville Field Office staff participated in the annual local Stand Down/Project Homeless Connect event hosted by the Louisville chapter of the Salvation Army.

Free transportation was available to the homeless from various shelter sites throughout the city. An estimated 450 participants filed past rows upon rows of service provider booths gathering information about resources and services available in the community.

HUD joined other local, state, and other federal agencies in this one-stop area for the homeless. There were a range of service providers including the Lions Club doing vision testing, organizations providing other medical services, and groups handing out coats, clothes, backpacks, and much other needed items.
