Natchez Housing Authority Hosts Homeownership Event

In support of Homeownership Month, the Natchez Housing Authority hosted a Homeownership event on June 19, 2008. The Natchez Housing Authority, which is an experienced grantee of the Resident Opportunities and Supportive Services program with active grants in the elderly, family self sufficiency and neighborhood networks area, and a recent awardee in the homeownership program, helped organize an event at the Extension Service Office to promote homeownership to its residents and the community. Also participating and acting as co-sponsors of the event were the Department of Agriculture Rural Development Office, Britton and Koontz Bank, Mississippi Home Corporation and the Adams, Jefferson, Franklin, and Claiborne Community Action Agency (AJFC-CAA). Each participating agency gave a talk as to how their group might help first-time homebuyers get a loan or assist in other parts of the home buying process.
