The HUD Mississippi team participated in the City of Jackson's 10th Annual Project Homeless Connect event on September 13, 2016. Held in Smith Park in downtown Jackson, the purpose of the activity was to raise public awareness and to help the homeless get back on their feet. HUD staff provided information on Public and Indian Housing programs, and about privately owned multifamily housing subsidized by HUD. Additionally, participants were offered free health check-ups.

If you or someone you know is looking for housing assistance, HUD's webpage HUD.gov has information on local resources.
