HUD Mississippi Office Collects Food for Local Food Bank

The HUD Mississippi office recently participated in the annual "Feds Feed Families" Campaign. Through the campaign, federal employees across the country collect and donate non-perishable food items to food banks, pantries and shelters.

The Mississippi staff donated canned goods and other non-perishable foods to the Stewpot Community Services' Food Pantry. Partly stocked through donations, the Stewpot Food pantry provides food to local families in need. They report that over a hundred thousand cans of food are donated each year.
