WANT TO PREPARE A SUCCESSFUL GRANT? HERE'S HOW!
Free Grant-Writing Workshop For Faith-Based Organizations Offered in Concord

GREENSBORO - A two-day training session providing faith-based and other non-profit organizations with grant
writing techniques, organizational development, and ways to access government funding, will be offered August
26-27 in Concord.

This grant writing, faith-based training, according to Jim Chaplin, Acting Field Director, is a comprehensive workshop presenting information about obtaining public and private funds. "Everything an organization will need to prepare a successful grant application, HUD will put under one roof," Chaplin said. "HUD will show your organization how it can
be more competitive in the grant writing process. And the best feature of the two-day course is that this training is free."

Topics include: Performance Measurements, Ten Commandments of Grantwriting, Accessing Government Funds,
HUD Common Factors For Award, Working With Local Governments, Coalition Building, and Legal Do's And Don'ts.

Because space is limited, early registration is encouraged, according to Cecil Brown, HUD's faith based liaison and event coordinator.
