CHRIS STEARNS NAMED HUD GREENSBORO FIELD OFFICE DIRECTOR

GREENSBORO - U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced that Christian T. Stearns, formerly HUD Field Office Director for the HUD Office located in Casper, Wyoming has been named the Field Office Director
for the HUD Greensboro Office.

In this position, Mr. Stearns will serve as HUD's liaison to mayors, city managers, elected representatives, state and local officials, Congressional delegations, stakeholders and customers in the State of North Carolina. He will oversee the delivery of HUD programs and services to communities, and evaluate their efficiency and effectiveness.

"Chris brings leadership, experience and expertise to this position and will be an indispensable partner and resource
to the people and communities of North Carolina," said HUD's Atlanta Regional Director Bob Young. "We are
extremely fortunate to have Chris joining our management team," said Young.

Chris began his HUD Career in San Antonio, Texas field office as a Community Builder. He was also the Community Planning and Development (CPD) Program Manager for HUD's Region VIII in Denver and the Consolidated Plan Specialist.

Prior to coming to HUD, Mr. Stearns held city manager and assistant city manager positions in Colorado and Florida.

Mr. Stearns has a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy. He has a Master of Public Administration from the University of West Florida, and a Ph.D. in Public Administration at the University of Colorado
at Denver (ABD).
