Deputy Regional Administrator Eric Cobb and North Dakota Field Office Director Joel Manske made a visit to Grand Forks, North Dakota last week. That day Secretary Ben Carson announced the Grand Forks Housing Authority (GFA) as one of the 17 cities in the country awarded the pilot program. The EnVision Center will build on the existing LaGrave Place Learning Center.

The LaGrave Learning Center was the first Neighborhood Networks Center in HUD's Rocky Mountain Region. It was built to provide access to technology for residents of LaGrave Place, and provides job training, an after-school program, and a summer lunch program every year in July and August. The Grand Forks Housing Authority plans to build on the successes of the learning center by increasing collaboration across federal agencies, state and local governments, non-profits, faith-based organizations, and the private sector to offer even more services that serve the unique needs of the community
