Local HUD Staff Volunteers to Help with Home in Need.

On April 27, 2013, staff from the Omaha Field Office participated in a volunteer event with Rebuilding Together Omaha, Inc. The Rebuilding Together Omaha, Inc. is a Nebraska 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation chartered in 1995.

Volunteer teams rehabilitate homes for low-income elderly and disabled homeowners, veterans, families with children, and for nonprofit facilities such as schools, shelters, and 501(c)(3) community service organizations. All work is done by volunteers at no cost to the homeowner. Corporations and other groups raise funds and provide sponsorship fees to cover the cost of materials and skilled labor.
