Conference for Emerging Leaders in Omaha: 2014 Heartland Latino Leadership Conference

On November 17-18, 2014, Omaha Field Office Director Earl Redrick and HUD FPM staff Reginald Robinson and Andrew Burgin-Anton attended the 2014 Heartland Latino Leadership Conference. This year's Conference was held at the Embassy Suites Omaha-LaVista Hotel in LaVista, NE. The theme for the conference was, "A Heritage of Leadership...Celebrating 15 Years."

This year's featured conference speaker was LTC Consuelo Castillo Kickbusch, U.S. Army, Retired. The mission of the Heartland Latino Leadership is to develop the skills and awareness necessary for community professionals and the business sector to enhance effective working relationships in an environment of emerging social and cultural change.

The goal of the Latino Leadership Conference is to create a history of future leaders who will become involved within their communities and inspire others to become actively engaged. The Heartland Latino Leadership Conference is recognized for being a catalyst for positive change, a vital supporter of business, government and individual success and an organization that empowers individuals and organizations to seek, develop and sustain a balanced leadership. Approximately 300 participants attended the two-day conference.
