HUD Omaha Reaches Out.

On March 27, the Omaha Field Office participated in in the 2015 Project Homeless Connect - Omaha at Creighton University's Kiewit Fitness Center. Andrew Burgin of the office of Field Policy and Management and Connie Radcliff of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity represented the Omaha office.

The event saw 674 clients and featured over 40 exhibitors from industry related fields such as healthcare (mental and physical health), housing, city services and more. Clients were paired with volunteers and had instant access to a plethora of services, designed as a one-stop-shop.

New this year were volunteers performing VI-SPDAT (Vulnerability Index & Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Tool) screenings to those volunteering information. As usual, Omaha's philanthropic excellence stood out, having many more volunteers than were needed for the event.
