Accessibilty Training

HUD Region VII Employees (Kansas City & Omaha) partner with local agency and fair housing guru for housing accessibility training.

On April 3, 2015, Deputy Regional Administrator Bruce Ladd, Omaha Field Office Director Earl Redrick, Omaha Acting Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) Director Kitty A. Amaya, and Equal Opportunity Specialist Connie Radcliff participated in training on Accessibility, Section 504, Americans with Disability Amendments Act, and the Fair Housing Act.

Scott P. Moore, a civil rights attorney in Omaha, Nebraska provided the all-day training through a grant HUD awarded to Fair Housing Accessibility First. Deputy Regional Director Ladd gave opening remarks.

More than 100 persons participated in the training, and based upon the feedback it was quite necessary and well received.
