Project Homeless Connect - Omaha

On Friday, March 23, 2018, Omaha Field Office's Andrew Burgin-Anton exhibited at the Project Homeless Connect (PHC)-Omaha event at Creighton University's Kiewit Fitness Center.

The 11th annual event hosted 539 local homeless and at-risk individuals with 45 service providers and 11 health screening and VI-SPDAT assessment stations. The VI-SPDAT (Vulnerability Index - Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Tool) is a survey administered both to individuals and families to determine risk and prioritization when providing assistance to homeless and at-risk of homelessness persons.

Attendees were guided by 1,068 volunteers participating in the event. An array of service providers offered programs and services from ranging from: housing, health screenings, haircuts, food sources, transit vouchers and clothing, legal aid and more.
