In early September, the HUD Newark Office's Community Planning and Development (CPD) Division held its All Grantee meeting in Kenilworth, NJ. Over 180 individuals attended, representing a cross-section of grant recipients. Newark Office Director Maria Maio-Messano gave welcoming remarks, along with Union County Freeholder Chairman Christopher Hudak and County Manager Alfred Faella. HUD Newark Office staff discussed environmental review requirements for Continuum of Care grantees; updates to the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program; coordinating homeless needs in the Consolidated Planning process; record-keeping requirements; and how to conduct a survey to challenge new Low-Moderate Income Block Group Data. The presentations were well-received by the appreciative audience.
