HUD Teams Up with NMMLA to Present Training

Maureen Pendleton, Supervisory Housing Specialist, recently presented a 3-hour continuing education course for appraisers to update their knowledge of FHA requirements. The training session, sponsored by the New Mexico Mortgage Lenders Association (NMMLA), was facilitated by the Albuquerque Field Office and held in Albuquerque. Over 100 appraisers and underwriters who attended the session were enthusiastic about the training.

Following the appraisal training, the Albuquerque Field Office was represented by Marlene Lightburn, Equal Opportunity Specialist, who was keynote luncheon speaker for the monthly NMMLS meeting. Ms. Lightburn talked about design and construction issues in fair housing.
