Antoinette Taylor gained invaluable work experience when she interned at the Las Vegas HUD office this summer.

Last summer, the Las Vegas HUD office participated in Clark County's 7th Annual Summer Business Institute (SBI). SBI began several years ago with a handful of unpaid high school students interning at various locations throughout Clark County, Nevada. Today the program has hosted over 100 teenagers whose salaries are paid by Clark County government.

The program has proven to be beneficial to both the student and the business host. Antoinette Taylor, now a Senior at Rancho High School, worked in the Las Vegas HUD for 8 weeks this past summer. She learned invaluable customer service and computer skills.

This program is a great success. We look forward to participating next summer in Clark County's Summer Business Institute. Antoinette was enthusiastic and extremely helpful in performing all of her duties. She is a bright young lady who has dreams of becoming a physician and the Las Vegas HUD office personnel want to thank her and wish her the best.
