Affordable, wheelchair accessible
apartments Open House in Las Vegas!

These new apartments are designed for persons with a physical disability, mobility impairment, or traumatic brain injury. Staff from the Las Vegas HUD Office along with community partners attended the open house ceremony in Southern Nevada for the latest additional property on January 30, 2004. Ray Rawson Villa is the sixth supportive housing development in Nevada for Accessible Space, Inc. (ASI.

This cooperative effort provides 22 more accessible units and will help many people to have a place to live more comfortably. It was created in partnership with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Clark County HOME Program, the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco's Affordable Housing Program, and Wells Fargo Bank. ASI continues to build Supportive Housing Developments in the State of Nevada.

Currently there are three ASI wheelchair accessible properties in Northern Nevada totaling 68 units. With the Grand Opening of Ray Rawson Villa, Southern Nevada now has three properties with 71 units. This is a total of 139 units for Nevada right now. The next of these properties is currently scheduled to open in April 2004. George & Lois Brown Estates will have 22 affordable, wheelchair accessible, one and two bedroom units.
