Welcome Brian Sagert: New Las Vegas Field Office Director Announced by Regional Administrator

I am pleased to announce the selection of Brian Sagert as the new HUD Las Vegas Field Office Director. Brian began his new role on Monday, July 28.

Brian A. Sagert is an experienced community development professional with over 15 years in the affordable housing and community development industry. He has worked in the past in the non-profit, public, and private sectors in various community development roles including the West Coast Business & Community Development Officer for Amalgamated Bank, President and CEO of Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada, and the Director of Modernization for the Las Vegas Housing Authority.

Brian joins HUD from his most recent role as a Community Reinvestment Act Compliance Auditor with Capital One Bank. He has a MBA and attended Executive Education programs in community development at Harvard University. Brian is also a US Navy veteran having served three tours in Desert Storm/Desert Shield.

I want to extend my sincerest thanks to Ryan Okahara for serving the role of the Acting Las Vegas Field Office Director over the past year. He and Brian will be working to ensure a smooth transition. Please extend a warm welcome and congratulations to Brian for his new role in Region IX.
