Region II's New York Office is very excited for the very first time to be participating in the New York City Department of Education's Justice Resource Center program that provides high school seniors with work experience in the public sector. The program provides an excellent opportunity for young professionals eager to meet the challenges of public service, and support the Department's critical mission of "Expanding homeownership, increasing access to affordable housing, strengthening communities through economic development, fighting housing discrimination, and tackling homelessness issues." Participating in the program are: Tonisha Marin, a senior at Francis Lewis High School in Queens, New York. Tonisha is a Staff Sergeant in the Junior Officers' Training Corps (JROTC), with dreams of pursuing a law career. She will continue her education at Adelphi University this fall; Victoria Li, a senior at Midwood High School in Brooklyn, New York. Victoria plans on pursuing a career in Political Science, and will continue her education at Oxford University in England this fall; and Angelique Sanchez a senior at Richmond Hill High School, Queens, New York. Angelique plans on pursuing a career in Culinary Arts, and will continue her education at Johnson & Wales University in Pennsylvania this fall.
