Ribbon Cutting for New Brooklyn Supportive Housing Complex

Regional Administrator Adolfo Carrión recently joined with Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, NYC Commissioner for Homeless Services, Seth Diamond, and others to celebrate the ribbon cutting of The Schemerhorn, a new affordable, supportive housing complex in downtown Brooklyn that will house employed actors and artists plus formerly homeless individuals with special needs, including individuals living with HIV/AIDS. The building, sponsored by The Actors Fund and Common Ground, includes a 2,000 square foot theatre and state-of-the-art performance space to be used by the Brooklyn Ballet, rooftop gardens, and numerous Green features.
