Once again the Buffalo Field Office's commitment and passion exhibited itself in its recent participation in this year's United Way Day of Caring that took place in the City of Buffalo. Office staff worked at Gliding Stars of Western New York, an organization that provides adaptive ice-skating lessons for children just over 18 months to senior adults. The skaters are provided with weekly lessons and perform in an annual Ice Show. Office staff helped out by doing landscaping to improve the look of Gliding Stars' head office, assisted with administrative work, and organized/cataloged their huge inventory of costumes. Field Office Director Joan Spilman is very grateful to the staff who participated in this year's event, including: Chevelle McCray, Karen Schmitt, Leah Gallagher from Public Housing; Wayne Willard, Sarah Culligan, Jill Smolen, Ken Rozler, Doug Glichowski and retiree Wayne Dubrawsky from Multifamily Housing; and, Travis Gordon, the Office's student intern.
