In an effort to serve residents in The Bronx, HUD Region II Senior Management Analyst Earleene Sealy participated in a Town Hall Meeting & Constituent Service Day event held by U.S. Congressman Charles Rangel (NY-13) at the Bronx Library Center.

Congressman Rangel responded to questions from the audience and welcomed participating federal partners to the stage. Ms. Sealy spoke about HUD programs and services including how to apply for subsidized housing, fair housing rights, housing counseling, and FHA mortgage insurance for prospective home buyers. Social Security Administration staff also participated in the presentation.

Ms. Sealy answered questions for Bronxites that flocked to the HUD table set up at the Library. Residents inquired about public and privately owned subsidized rental housing, FHA 203k rehab mortgage insurance, housing for the disabled, and how to best present necessary documents at recertifications.

HUD has also been invited to attend a similar Constituent Services day event to be held on November 16.
