Webinar Lays Out Affordable Housing Search Basics

HUD New York Regional Office Senior Management Analyst Earleene Sealy, HUD Multifamily Program Analyst Yovanka Bien-Aime, HUD Multifamily Program Analyst Tanesha Smith, and HUD New York Regional Office Executive Assistant Angelique Urbina

In collaboration with the Office of Multifamily Housing Northeast Region, the HUD New York Regional Office hosted "How to Search and Apply for HUD Rental Assistance" a webinar on applying for HUD rental subsidies in privately-owned housing. Senior Management Analyst Earleene Sealy worked with HUD Multifamily Program Analysts Yovanka Bien-Aime, and Tanesha Smith to provide attendees information and resources to put families on a path to secure HUD-subsidized housing.

Tanesha Smith discussed HUD Section 811/202 Grant Programs and Grants.gov. Yovanka Bien-Aime provided step-by-step, comprehensive instruction on finding properties on the HUD Resource Locator, how to apply, and follow up effectively. The Multifamily team also provided valuable tools and resources to complement the housing search.
