Regional Director A. Cynthia Leon and Lt. Andrew Hyden swear in Jerry Hyden as Oklahoma City Field Office Director.

"Jerry brings a wealth of experience from his 24 years of service at HUD," said Ms. Leon. "I am very proud of HUD's work in Oklahoma and know our impact in the community will grow even more on Mr. Hyden's watch."

Hyden has excelled in numerous positions during his almost quarter century at HUD. Most recently, he was HUD's Public Housing Program Center Coordinator for Oklahoma. He has been at the Oklahoma City Field Office since 1996 and previously worked in the Tulsa and Minneapolis offices.

Hyden also served with honor in the Oklahoma National Guard and was deployed to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.

Jerry Hyden's son, Lt. Andrew Hyden of the Army National Guard, gave the invocation and participated in the swearing-in ceremony. Hyden's other son, Kyle, is deployed with the Oklahoma Army National Guard in Iraq.
