Oklahoma City Field Office conducts a Congressional Briefing

The Oklahoma City Field Office conducted a Briefing on September 12, 2018 for staff members of the Congressional offices that serve central and western Oklahoma. The purpose was to enhance strong communication ties between HUD and the Congressional Offices to collectively provide the best possible customer service to the public. Field Policy & Management led preparations for the Briefing in consultation with HUD Program Directors and Congressional Relations Staff. Attending the Briefing were: Paula Corley (U.S. Senator James Lankford), A. Bennett Beard (Congressman Frank Lucas), Lisa Head (Congressman Tom Cole), Lisa Acevedo (Congressman Steve Russell), and Shannon Entz (City of Oklahoma City).

An updated synopsis on the programs and operations in the Oklahoma City Field Office was provided. That included: Field Policy and Management, Community Planning and Development, Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity, Multifamily Housing, National Serving Center, Office of Inspector General, Office of Public Housing, Policy Development and Research, and the Southern Plains Office of Native American Programs. According to Field Office Director, Sharon Gordon-Ribeiro, "the Briefing was a great opportunity to share Secretary Ben Carson's new vision and initiatives for helping families to achieve self-sufficiency."
