Back to Basics
With the housing markets in turmoil, more and more families are going "back to the basics" of safe, sound, affordable housing by using FHA-insured mortgages to buy or refinance their homes. In the past seven months alone, FHA has insured more mortgages in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington than in either of the two previous years.

  • Find out if FHA can work for you (www.fha.gov/).

Spotlight on Innovation
The Siskiyou subdivision in Ashland, OR is an affordable homeownership project in a community filled with culture, recreation, tourism and escalating housing prices. The project is an excellent example of how public/private partnerships can create beautiful, livable, yet affordable, housing in the Northwest.

Has your organization worked on an innovative housing or community development project? Are you willing to share your accomplishments? If so, we want to hear from you! We'd like to showcase these projects on our website, so we can all learn from one another.
