Dallas Faith-Based Group Kicks Off Christmas Campaign

Fifty women, many of them homeless with children, will be treated to gifts and a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. The women are housed in one of five shelters and safe houses in the Dallas area. Often rejected by their families and overlooked by other charitable organizations, they are working hard to become self-sufficient.

Helping Hands of Jesus Ministry (HHJM) exists for the purpose of assisting abused and afflicted women by providing a transitional home and training facility to enhance their personal well being, self-esteem and ability to become productive members of society.

HHJM offers individual and group counseling; mentoring with business professionals; suitable clothing for a new career; and household furnishings once the client has obtained housing.

The ministry plans to build a safe house that will later become a part of a community to include affordable housing and services to its graduates.

If you would like to make a donation or inquire further about the organization, call HHJM at (972) 283-2007. The Christmas Campaign ends December 20.
