Vaccine Block Party in Salt Lake City, Utah, Aims to Assist Homeless

Fourth Street Mobile Clinic arrives at the Vaccine Block Party in Salt Lake City.

Catholic Community Services, Fourth Street Federally Qualified Health Center, and the Salt Lake County Health Department worked with the HUD Salt Lake City Office to sponsor a Vaccine Block Party in downtown Salt Lake City in an area frequented by people experiencing homelessness. In addition to vaccines, the hosts provided lunch, live music, prizes, and games created a festive street fair atmosphere and helped to bolster attendance, which exceeded 200 people. Field Office Director Kelly Jorgensen worked with partners to conduct outreach to HUD-assisted households to increase attendance and get shots in arms for HUD residents.
