STATEMENT OF SECRETARY ANDREW CUOMO ST. LOUIS' DARST-WEBBE HOPE VI

St. Louis has made tremendous progress toward redevelopment of Darst-Webbe and the surrounding community. Through the work of Mayor Harmon, the Board of Aldermen, the Housing Authority's Board of Commissioners, in partnership with HUD staff, residents and community supporters, the Darst-Webbe planning process is on the right track.

We look forward to continuing our work with the City and the new leadership at the Housing Authority to make the dream of revitalization of the Darst-Webbe community a reality. There is much work yet to be done, but the progress this partnership has made has been phenomenal.
