The funds will be used for the new construction of an apartment complex for the elderly consisting of 45 one-bedroom units. The building will be four stories with an elevator located on the Sponsor's New England's Middletown, Connecticut campus. The proposed site is approximately 45,000 square feet and is near grocery and retail shopping, churches, community centers, and parks. It is accessible to public transportation. Common facilities include a community room with party kitchen, television lounges, centralized laundry facilities, and other social spaces. The facility will be consistent will all Federal and State accessibility guidelines.
