Project description:

The funds will be used for the new construction of a three-story apartment building with 36 one-bedroom units for very low-income elderly and one two-bedroom resident manager's unit. The project will be located within twelve miles of the central business district of Atlanta and will be near employment, schools, places of worship, shopping, recreation, transportation, and public services. Common facilities include a laundry room and a large community room. Planting areas and gardening beds will be provided on-site for use by the residents.

Project description:

The funds will be used for the new construction of a three-story apartment building with 48 one-bedroom assisted units for very low-income elderly and one one-bedroom resident manager's unit. This project will be designed for elderly persons capable of living in an independent setting with convenient supportive services. In addition to the private residential units, the building will include community spaces and management areas suitable for strategic management and supportive services coordination. The project will be designed with special features to provide support and safety in performing activities of daily living for the elderly residents.

Project description:

These funds will be used for the new construction of a three-story apartment building with 76 one-bedroom assisted units for very low-income elderly and one two-bedroom resident manager's unit. This project will be designed for elderly persons capable of living in an independent setting and will include a multi-purpose room with kitchen facilities, a library, and exercise rooms. The site is in a great location for seniors, within a 1/4 mile of major shopping and retail centers, churches, supportive services, and parks.

Project description:

The funds will be used for the purchase and rehabilitation of seven two-bedroom condominiums for very low-income residents with physical disabilities. This housing will allow residents easy access to nearby shopping and recreational amenities. The Sponsor will design office space to feature cable wiring, phone/modem jacks, and wiring that can accommodate new computer technologies which will enable residents to receive on-site training in the use of personal computers and accessing the Internet.

Project description:

The funds will be used for the new construction of a four-bedroom home for very low-income persons with physical or developmental disabilities. The group home will also have a resident-manager's unit. Functionally, this group home will be zoned into public and private areas. The private zone (bedrooms, bathrooms, and laundry room) will be separated from the public zone (living room, dining room, and kitchen) by a door off the foyer. Not only will this feature increase privacy, it will also help reduce sound transmission from the more public areas.

Project description:

These funds will be used for the new construction of a four-bedroom home which includes three bedrooms for persons with developmental disabilities and one bedroom for a resident manager. This group home will be designed to blend with surrounding homes to facilitate the integration of the residents into the community. The group home will allow consumers to take more responsibility for their lives and, perhaps, transition into more independent living situations.

Project description:

These funds will be used for the new construction of an independent living project with 12 one-bedroom units for very low income residents with chronic mental illness and one one-bedroom resident manager's unit. The relatively flat topography and mature trees on the site will provide an attractive, idyllic setting for the proposed housing. The proposed 13 housing units and community building will be grouped in four buildings clustered to form a courtyard community with the community building centrally located. This configuration will minimize the distance to shared services and amenities such as the community room, manager's office, laundry room, and mailboxes.
