Project description:
The funds will be used for the new construction of 65 one-bedroom apartments for the elderly. The apartment complex will contain a community/multi-purpose room. All needed amenities are in close proximity to the complex. Also near the complex is the County's Department of Aging and Health Services and another residence for the elderly. At the County facility, services such as nutrition programs, homemaker programs, personal care, legal services, and volunteer services programs are offered and will be beneficial to the residents of the proposed development.
Section 811 - Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities
Project Location: Newton, KS
Non-Profit Sponsor: Northview Developmental Services, Inc.

Project description:
The funds will be used for the construction of 4 group homes to be located on scattered sites in Newton, Kansas. Each group home will provide housing for three residents who are developmentally disabled and there will be a resident manager for each group home. The Sponsor is the only provider of supportive services for persons with developmental disabilities in Harvey County, Kansas and these homes will provide much needed housing. The distribution of the housing throughout the community will assist in the integration of the disabled residents within the community.
