The funds will be used for the new construction of a 21-unit apartment complex for persons with physical disabilities in Bloomington, MN. The complex will consist of 15 one-bedroom and 6 two- bedroom units. Virtually all aspects of this building's products, appliances and equipment have been reviewed to insure maximum usability by persons with various physical limitations. All apartments will be designed to be flexible and adaptable to specific resident needs. The sponsors of this project are Accessible Space, Inc. and National Handicap Housing Institute, Inc.

The funds will be used for the acquisition and rehabilitation of a 3-bedroom group home for persons with physical disabilities. The home is a three bedroom, rambler style, accessible structure located in a residential area of South Minneapolis. The residents will have easy access to grocery store, pharmacy, parks and other services. Minnehaha Creek is located two blocks from the site and offers wheelchair accessible pathways.
