The funds will be used for the construction of one-bedroom units to house 30 elderly residents and one resident manager. This project is located in a Federally designated Enterprise Zone. The location of the site will allow residents access to shopping, medical facilities and other amenities.

Project description:

Project description:
The funds will be used to construct an independent living project consisting of 19 units which will house 18 persons with chronic mental illness and one resident manager. The Consolidated Plan for the State of Mississippi identifies persons with mental illness as one of its priority special needs groups.

The funds will be used to construct an 8-unit independent living project to house 8 persons with physical disabilities and a group home for 6 persons with physical disabilities. This project will be occupied by persons with physical disabilities as a result of HIV/AIDS.
