Project description:

This project while near a major metropolitan area is actually in a rural farm area of Albuquerque. The sponsor's proposal is to construct a group home, independent living project and condominium. The group home will house 8 residents. The independent living project, will have 5 one bedroom units and 5 two bedroom units and will house 15 residents. The condominium will have 6 two bedroom units and will house 12 residents. All three sites are designated for chronically mentally ill residents.

Project description:

This newly constructed Independent Living Project will have a total of 18 units. The project will house persons who are physically disabled, developmentally disabled, or chronically mentally ill. The identified site is located within a residential neighborhood and is within 2/10 of a mile from a bus stop, and a short 10 minute drive from downtown.

Project description:

Funds are being provided for the new construction of an independent living project for persons with physical disabilities. This project meets the high priority needs identified in the Consolidated Plan for the area and benefits the entire community by reducing the number of individuals living in institutional settings, substandard housing and/or housing with extreme cost burdens.
