Project description:
The funds will be used for new construction of a 2-story building with 38 1-bedroom apartments for residents and a 2-bedroom apartment for the resident manager. The residents' apartments will have a kitchen, bathroom, living room, 1 bedroom with closet, and an additional closet for general storage. Community spaces will include a multipurpose room, an activity room, a mail center, and laundry facilities. A patio adjacent to the common spaces will furnish residents with an outdoor gathering area and access to a garden, shaded areas, and an on-site pond. Each apartment will be adaptable for accessibility to help accommodate the changing needs of residents over the years and promote ""aging-in-place"" opportunities.

Each group home will be 1-story with 3 bedrooms for tenants and 1 bedroom for a resident manager. The project will be designed to resemble a single-family residence, with tenants sharing a living room, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, laundry room, and general storage space. A front porch will provide residents with a covered outdoor gathering place and access to lawn areas. The resident manager will be responsible for linking residents with social services available in the community if desired.
