PROJECT SUMMARY:

The Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) propose to address the security issues, physical improvements, and lack of social service needs of its public housing residents as identified by resident surveys, resident focus groups, or AHFC staff. AHFC will provide community-based security programs in Juneau, Fairbanks and Bethel, a supportive services voucher program statewide, a community-based, coordinated transportation program in Fairbanks, and conduct physical safety improvements at various sites around the state. All of the proposed programs fit within AHFC's five year Safety and Crime Prevention Plan.
