1999 PHDEP Program Project Summary -- Hawaii

HAWAII HOUSING & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORP. AMOUNT FUNDED: $1,189,218

The Hawaii Housing and Community Development Corp. will continue its prevention programs coupled with law enforcement activities in stopping the influence of drugs in the State. Major activities include the Hawaii Friends for Civic and Law Education (conflict resolution/Real Justice), Freeman Guards (job training & economic development), Boys & Girls Club (youth activities), a major component for overtime to the Honolulu Police Department and the 3 YMCA's in the communities the developments are located in for youth and family-strengthening activities.
