PROJECT SUMMARY:

The Fargo Housing & Redevelopment Commission proposes to eliminate drugs from our public housing units by using the following preventative strategies: 1) Surveillance cameras installed on all floors at Lashkowitz High Rise and New Horizons Manor; 2) Motion sensitive lighting in our scattered site homes in 14-3, and increased lighting at Pioneer Manor and New Horizons Manor; 3) Security Personnel patrolling all of our units daily; 4) Youth sports and education programs; 5) Welfare to Work activities such as Entrepreneurship for single parents and minorities, Clothing N' Connections and computer labs. We project a significant positive impact on our six hundred and sixteen households plus thousands of community participants.
