SUMMARY: Flipper Temple is committed to providing opportunities to its residents using a holistic approach to solving drug-related issues. The grant will help management offer real opportunities for self-improvement and economic betterment by providing job training, economic development, self-sufficiency, and educational programs, along with the necessary supportive services, such as an after school program, that will enable residents to take advantage of them. The management agent's Resident Services Department will address Flipper Temple's specific counseling and treatment needs through referrals to appropriate agencies.

SUMMARY: Riverwood Townhouses, Inc. will use the drug elimination grant to eliminate and/or reduce drug activity and drug related crime in the community by controlling access to the property through strategic fencing, deterring criminal activity through video surveillance and developing a Resident Health and Parenting Resource Center for adult and youth education and empowerment.
