SUMMARY: The residents of College Hill Apartments have expressed their willingness to be actively involved in the Drug Elimination Grant Program. Their hope is that the physical improvements will enhance their safety and security and the programs will enhance their families' quality of life.

PROJECT NAME: Southside Gardens Apartments
PROJECT STREET: 707 7th Street
GRANT AMOUNT: $82,677

SUMMARY: We plan to combat drug related activity at Southside Gardens Apartments in several different ways. First, by augmenting existing lighting we will create an atmosphere that will deter undesirable activity. Secondly, in order to better inform residents and provide productive uses of their time, it will be beneficial to provide educational programs, workshops, and activities. We plan to coordinate programs and activities with the STOP Organization. Finally, we plan to provide a computer lab and instructor. The instructor will provide basic computer training for the residents and supervise the lab.
