1999 New Approach Drug Elimination Grants

. Brentwood Associates Limited Partnership has been awarded $249,795.00 under the New Approach Anti-Drug Program and will provide a comprehensive plan to reduce drug-related criminal activity in the Brookland Manor Apartments and within the surrounding community. Installation of video cameras with one-way audio, improved lighting, and additional fencing, along with providing funds for additional police overtime will improve surveillance and augment security for the apartments. The improvements will enhance existing activities that include physical security measures, intervention and referral to treatment, activities for youth and adults, and linkages to their programs within the community.
