1999 New Approach Drug Elimination Grants

Greenleaf Association, Limited Partnership $212,831
Kansas City, Missouri

Interstate Realty Management Company and Greenleaf Apartments has been awarded $212,831.00 under the New Approach Anti-Drug Program and will partner with the Kansas City Police Department to provide a comprehensive, coordinated neighborhood approach to eliminate drugs and other crime problems in Greenleaf Apartments. Grant funds will be used for providing increased police presence by the Kansas City Police Department for the households residing at Greenleaf Apartments as well the surrounding neighborhood.


McCormack Baron Management Services $250,000
St. Louis, Missouri

McCormack Baron Management has been awarded $250,000.00 under the New Approach Anti-Drug Program and will partner with the St. Louis Police Department to provide a comprehensive, coordinated neighborhood approach to eliminate drugs and other crime problems in the neighborhoods. Grant funds will be used to provide for additional officers and a police substation.


Midland Property Management, Incorporation $237,270
Independence, Missouri

Midland Property Management and the Hawthorne Place Apartments has been awarded $237,270.00 under the New Approach Anti-Drug Program and will partner with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department to provide a comprehensive, coordinated plan to eliminate drugs and other crime problems in the area. Grant funds will be used to hire two community police officers.


Northland Associates $249,330
St. Louis, Missouri

Northland Associates and Colony North Apartments has been awarded $249,330.00 under the New Approach Anti-Drug Program and will partner with the St. Louis County Police Department to provide a comprehensive, coordinated neighborhood approach to eliminate drugs and other crime problems in the neighborhood. Interstate Realty Management Company will provide increased police presence by the St. Louis County Police Department for the 360 households residing in Colony North Apartments as well as the surrounding neighborhood. The primary goal is to achieve a reduction in drugs and drug-related crime through increased arrest and prosecution efforts.
