Johnson C. Smith University -- Grant Amount: $ 466,690
The university will address the problems of twelve neighborhoods in the northwest corridor of Charlotte, North Carolina. HBCU funds will be used to upgrade existing housing stock and create new affordable housing that will attract the next generation of homeowners. The university will also provide homeownership counseling.
