Morehouse College -- Grant Amount: $ 400,000

Morehouse University has created a Neighborhood Revitalization Task Force, which consist of students, faculty, and staff from the college and includes representatives from the seven neighborhood organizations located in the target area. Through these organizations, students will be provided community service internships. Morehouse will work on behalf of the community, with the City of Atlanta, to develop specialized neighborhood revitalization plans. Such plans will be the basis for creating a HUD approved neighborhood revitalization strategy area.
