Rural Housing and Economic Development 1999 Grants

PROJECT SUMMARY: NEVADA

Citizens for Affordable Homes, Inc., in Carson City, NV, will receive a Rural Housing and Economic Development Grant in the amount of $69,075 to enhance its organizational capacity so that it may better fulfill its mission of providing affordable housing in the region. Specific activities include hiring a Construction Supervisor and an Administrative Assistant to manage their increasing workload, and purchasing computer hardware and software to more efficiently produce, track, and monitor program outcomes. This program will serve the Nevada towns of Lovelock, Gardnerville Ranchos, Fernley, Fallon, Yerington, and the counties of Pershing, Douglas, Mineral, and Lyon.
