Rural Housing and Economic Development 1999 GrantsPROJECT SUMMARY: WISCONSIN Catholic Charities Bureau, Inc., in Superior, WI, will receive a Rural Housing and Economic Development Grant in the amount of $200,000 to expand its HUD Housing Counseling Program services to 16 additional counties not now comprehensively served. Special emphasis will be placed on increasing essential services to the 5 Native American reservations within the coverage area.. Matched funds and in-kind resources in Year 1 amount to $177,311 and to $531,993 over the three funding cycle. Partners in supporting this proposal include over 20 financial institutions and mortgage loan banks, HUD, USDA-Rural Development, Fannie Mae, The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) and the Wisconsin Division of Housing.
