In the City of Council Bluffs, Iowa, the HA employs one FSS program coordinator/case management person to recruit from 529 Section 8 families. Thirty contracts have been signed to date. Bi-annual newsletters are sent to all Section 8families, along with a personal letter to each. The FSS program coordinator/case manager administers the program, convenes the PCC committee quarterly, meets with each family coming into the program, setting short- and long-term goals, developing an FSS contract, and working with the family to implement the plan.
