Oklahoma

Miami Public Housing Authority --- $34,440

The Miami Public Housing Authority (MPHA) will be funded for a One-year Service Coordinator Renewal Grant in the amount of $34,440. The MPHA will act as the lead agency for four small Public Housing Authorities in Ottawa County Oklahoma. The Housing Authority will contract with the Older Americans Act Service provider for this area, in order to provide the most cost effective Services Coordination for all the residents of Public Housing regardless of which PHA in which they reside. As the residents are aging in place, they will require an ever increasing amount of in-home service support in order to remain as residents of Public Housing. The Older Americans Act provider with whom MPHA will partner will make Meals as well as In-Home chore services available to our eligible residents in even the more remote PHA's in the county.

Oklahoma City Housing Authority --- $215,220

The Oklahoma City Housing Authority will be funded for One-year Service Coordinator Renewal Grant in the amount of $215,220. The grant will benefit residents of ten elderly public housing developments in Oklahoma City. The Housing Authority will coordinate services that address an individual's needs to postpone the time at which a person is no longer able to reside in their apartment because their needs can only be met by a skilled nursing facility.
