Pawtucket Housing Authority --- $78,750
The Pawtucket Housing Authority received a $78,750 Service Coordinator Grant. The grant will be used to develop an outreach campaign to make formal contact with 655 elderly/disabled families within the Pawtucket Housing Authority's Burns, Fogarty, Kennedy and St. Germain Housing Developments. The grant will also be used to provide structured, solution focused counseling and case management to residents of the proposed developments and to help them identify and address problems such as situational depression, anxiety, conflict resolution (with relatives), etc. To refer any of such clients who need further or specialized counseling services to appropriate resources.
Town of Cumberland Housing Authority --- $32,790
The Town of Cumberland Housing Authority and the North Providence Housing Authority will jointly be funded for a One-year Service Coordinator Renewal Grant in the amount of $32,790. The Housing Authorities will provide their elderly and disabled residents in achieving a higher quality of life by providing a Resident Services Coordinator to guide residents to the services available. The Service Coordinator grant program has serviced tenants since April 1996, and has assisted many residents to maintain their dignity and independence within the community.
