Resident Opportunities and Self Sufficiency (ROSS) Program

South Carolina

Housing Authority of the City of Charleston --- $55,000

The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston (HACC) has received a $55,000 Service Coordinator Grant. The HACC will use this grant for funding to hire a Service Coordinator. The coordination of efforts will enhance the quality of service for elderly/disabled residents in public housing. As the number of elderly/disabled residents increase the need to gain access to these services becomes a major criteria. The Service Coordinator will identify and coordinate programs in the community that will enable Public Housing Residents to lead a productive independent life. The entire community will be involved with the provision of preserving this independent living in a safe environment.
